Part I: A Fresh Start
Looking back, 2023 marked a new chapter for me as a photographer. It was a year of rejuvenation and renewal, although it certainly had its challenges. My mission was to rebuild my wedding photography business in Winnipeg, Manitoba, after moving there from Poland in the previous year. This meant adapting to a new country, unfamiliar customs, and different client preferences and trends.
While working full-time, I dedicated myself to growing my photography business from the ground up. Building a clientele from scratch in a city where I knew no one proved to be one of the most difficult challenges I have ever faced. However, it was also an incredible experience that taught me a lot about myself and my craft.
Part II: Diversity and Integration
Am I happy with the results?
I'm very satisfied with the outcome. Despite my extensive experience in wedding photography, this opportunity has taught me many new things and introduced me to wonderful people.
In present times, multicultural weddings have given rise to beautiful expressions of identity, and culture, as well as new traditions. Manitoba holds a unique position in Canada, as its multicultural society has allowed me to capture something I couldn't while working in Eastern Europe - DIVERSITY. Diversity of cultures, traditions, religions and loves.
I’m fascinated by the cultural connections I've met here!

Part IV: Testimonials Matter
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of the beautiful couples who have entrusted me with capturing their most precious moments. Your trust and support mean the world to me, and I'm truly honored to have been a part of your special day.
I would also like to extend my thanks to all of the wonderful people who have taken the time to offer kind words of appreciation and support. Your thank you notes, Google reviews, Instagram posts, stories, and comments have been a source of inspiration and motivation for me.
To all of you who have shared your love and chosen MonaVira Photography, I want you to know that your words and support are greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Part V: Plans for the Next Year 2024
My focus for the next year will be on providing high-quality photo coverage for weddings, as I aim to maintain the success I've had so far.
In addition, I'm planning to collaborate with local vendors to schedule some creative photo sessions in 2024. I love combining documentary-style photography with fine art concepts and pushing creative boundaries. If you're a Manitoba-based vendor in the wedding industry such as a venue, florist, decorator, fashion, hair or makeup stylist, and you're interested in collaborating with me, please let me know!
I have a very bold plan for 2024 - I am going to introduce a wedding video service as an additional option to the wedding package. My husband is a professional theatre director, and I have always dreamed of involving him in my love for weddings. I'll share more details about this in January, but it's happening - the show must go on!
Don't wait any longer, book your wedding today!
With love,
Your Wedding Photographer Vira
